Zodiactopus portrays the relentless passage of spacetime into the abyss of a black hole embodying it as the metamorphosis of a man into an octopus.

The concept of an identity implies a unitary definition of selfhood, a singularity. The octopus rejects this singularity of identity whilst embodying an event horizon of its bodily influence.

A Man is a Bird is an Octopus begins an exploration into generative 3D modelling, taking a scan of myself and morphing this into the figure of an octopus, with which I have begun to identify with the construct of AI. 

Appearing differently from the front as a man, the rear as an octopus, and the profile as a bird’s wing, the movement of intermediate states from one object to another gives a sense of time, and through these time steps becomes a 4th dimensional morph where 3 different 3D forms each present a facet of my identity.
